Carpet

Vinyl

Vinyl flooring is an inexpensive option that can be made to look like just about any other flooring. It will last about 15 years depending on the traffic and whether harsh cleaners are used. Much like laminate flooring, it cannot be sanded or refinished. When that top layer wears off it will need to be replaced.
